St Joseph Jethuli

Message From Manager

Every institution has a goal or a dream to achieve. Our foundress venerable Mother Mary Ward had the vision of seeing women as pioneers of change in the family, society and the world at large. She said “Women in time to come will do great things”.

Keeping the ideals of our foundress before us, St. Joseph’s Convent High School, Jethuli was founded n 2003, as a sesquicentenary gift of St. Joseph’s Convent High School, Bankipore, to provide an all round education to the girls of Jethuli. The aim of the school is to give them quality education, to instill in them right values, to make them intellectually competent, morally sound, psychologically whole, imbued with the sense of the Divine, committed to the cause of justice, sincerity, freedom and love.

The world and its values are changing in a rapid speed. We as educators need to pause and reflect whether our students are able to face the challenges in front of them. As the motto of the school is for “ Knowledge and Service”. Our committed staff, sisters and teachers help them to think, reflect and discover the potential within them through value education classes, quiz competitions, debates and activities like LTS, USM etc. Aristotle said “ Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all”. We endeavour to inculcate in our pupils the attitude of self-reliance, team work compassion and striving for excellence. The results of the first three batches in the ICSE examination have been excellent. At present the school has more than 2000 students and 65 teaching staff. We are grateful to Srs. Justina and Josephine for the contribution they have made for the growth of this school academically and in infrastructure.

May we accept the challenges of the present and champion the cause of women education, keeping aloft the vision of our foundress to empower women. The fire that burnt in the hearts of Mary Ward and her sisters be kept burning till the end of time through this Institution.
